Managing Current Compensation Challenges

Okay, the “great resignation” is over! Or is it??? Maybe we’re just in a temporary “lull” in activity as would-be “job changers” catch a breadth. The annual inflation rate is down from a year ago, but still not good. On top of that, the Fed just increased interest rates by a quarter of a percent...AGAIN! So the economic pain many employees are feeling (i.e., what drives most people to look for another higher paying job) is still there. Add to it that recent reports say corporate profit margins are now being squeezed, employee productivity is falling, employers in mass are pushing “return-to-the-office” strategies (which is just PO-ing a whole bunch of people), and the fears of an economic recession have not gone away.

Welcome to the summer version of HR in 2023!!!

Today, attracting and retaining capable employees is the pre-eminent challenge of almost every hour of an HR professional’s every day. And as we HR folks know, “pay” is a significant factor, if not THE PRIMARY factor, behind most of these challenges. This program is intended to recognize those challenges and help HR professionals develop responsive strategies for dealing with those challenges.
