A Message from the President

It is an honor to serve as President of SHRM New Orleans and to work alongside such a dedicated community of HR professionals, business leaders, and workforce advocates. As we look ahead, I am filled with optimism about the opportunities we have to strengthen connections across our region and continue advancing the people, organizations, and communities that make the Greater New Orleans area so unique. Human resources is about more than policies and processes; it is about building workplaces where people can thrive, organizations can succeed, and our community can grow stronger together. 

During my term, I am committed to fostering meaningful relationships throughout the Greater New Orleans business community, creating opportunities for collaboration, and ensuring SHRM New Orleans remains a trusted resource for HR professionals at every stage of their careers. By deepening our engagement with local employers, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders, we can help address workforce challenges, share best practices, and contribute to the continued growth and resilience of our region.

Our volunteer SHRM New Orleans board of directors work together to help provide the best resources for each and every member through our events.  Our monthly meetings and professional development opportunities provide both SHRM and HRCI credits for our certified members seeking credits for recertification.  SHRM New Orleans events are planned to provide current, significant human resource knowledge to address challenges that impact people and organizations in the Greater New Orleans Region.

Society for Human Resources Management, New Orleans (SHRM New Orleans) is a local chapter affiliate with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) with over 500 active members.  Your national and local membership work together to provide Human Resources practitioners and small businesses with valuable up to date human resource education, resources, and networking opportunities for all members.
