Germaine Townsend is a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management and an active member of both national and local SHRM organizations. Her professional journey in Human Resources began 10 years ago. Currently working as a Client HR Business Partner at Paychex, Germaine effectively leverages her human resources background and diverse industry experience to drive positive change within the organizations she supports.
Passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, Germaine dedicated three years to serving as the Diversity Director on the Board of the NOLA SHRM. During her tenure, she pioneered the chapter's first Diversity and Inclusion Book Club, aiming to proactively engage HR professionals in meaningful dialogues that equip them to facilitate conversations on sensitive topics. Germaine has been a featured panelist on various topics including team engagement, organizational leadership, and strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion.
