Difficult Conversations
Communication skills are the most widely cited skill sets in job descriptions today regardless of the industry. Having to face difficult conversations in the workplace can leave many people feeling anxious and fearful. This session aims to make difficult conversations not so difficult! Participants will be provided realistic action steps and tools to utilize prior to, during and after these conversations occur.

Speaker Bio
Keesha B. Buteau is the Founder of Beacon of Light- Coaching, Consulting and Public Speaking Company based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Keesha B. Buteau graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After being exposed to the realities of C-Suite management, Keesha obtained a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020.
Keesha B. Buteau has over a decade of experience as a nonprofit executive, facilitator, and trainer. While serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Girl Scouts of Louisiana- Pines to the Gulf, Keesha B. Buteau worked in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA to implement a new business operating model locally and across the Girl Scout national movement. She has assisted and equipped organizations to reach fundraising and revenue goals, measure impact, onboard management teams and develop cohesive strategic plans. Additionally, she is a member of the Junior League of Lafayette, Escape from Poverty- Board of Directors, United Way of Acadiana’s Women United and is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class of XXXV. She was recently honored as one of Acadiana’s Top 20 Under 40 Young Leaders in 2020.
Keesha B. Buteau is fiercely passionate, sensitive to the needs of others and leads with a caring heart. Her ability to make genuine connections allows her to seamlessly build trust and create a safe space for personal and professional growth. Keesha B.
