Summary

Resilience is a key characteristic of high-performing leaders. Human Resource professionals not only need to practice resiliency themselves to advance and thrive, but since they carry the responsibility for helping to protect the energy of the people in their teams!.  Join us for this highly interactive session where we’ll discuss how highly resilient companies retain good leaders when individuals and teams are able to consistently recover high energy levels.

In this session you’ll learn to:

  • Identify common myths about resiliency
  • Differentiate key behaviors of resilient people
  • Discuss 7 resiliency power words and the behaviors associated with putting those words into practice
  • Describe essential resources for additional training and education


Speaker Info

Wendy King is the South Region Health & Performance Practice Leader (H&P) for HUB International.  In this role, Wendy sets the pace for growing and developing the practice throughout the South region.  She is responsible for strategic client consultation, provider partnerships, industry leading program design and compliance, as well as communication. Her overarching goal is to guide clients to the strategies and solutions that will achieve high engagement rates, healthy employees, and long-term risk reduction in their populations.

Wendy has over 25 year’s diverse, professional experience in corporate wellness strategy, marketing, sales and communications.

Her background includes owning her own marketing & consulting firm, running the corporate marketing and wellness divisions of a national health & benefits administrator, overseeing business development and marketing for a hospitality industry technology firm and running the business development divisions of both hospitals and healthcare consultants.

She presents to industry groups at local, regional and national events and is a published author for numerous US insurance, corporate wellness, benefits, and human resources publications. She is considered a leader in the field of corporate wellness strategy, as it relates to integrated health and safety.

Education:

Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), concentration in Healthcare Management, University of New Orleans

Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Louisiana State University. 

Certifications:

Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS)
Member, National Wellness Institute, HERO and WELCOA
Certified Mental Health First Aider
