Volunteer Opportunity - Mock Interviews (Friday, September 04, 2026)

The St. Charles Parish Satellite Center needs 8 to 10 volunteers to assist with a mock interview project on Friday, September 4, 2026. Interviews will be focused on the hotel, restaurant, and tourism industries, and each interviewee will be provided an interview and résumé rubric.

There are two sessions available, and volunteers may choose which session to attend. Volunteers who attend both sessions will have lunch provided.

Session 2 - 11:35am to 1:30pm

Speaker Bio:

Joe L. Hamilton, III, SHRM-CP, is an HR professional with over a decade of experience across public service, telecommunications, retail, and corporate sectors. As SHRM’s Members & Community Director for the Southwest Central Region, he partners with councils and chapters to drive & support sustainability and strengthen HR communities.

A former SHRM volunteer leader in Louisiana (2019–2025), Joe also contributes to organizations like Junior Achievement USA and his local Chamber of Commerce. He is passionate about leadership and organizational development, mentoring future leaders, and building inclusive, high-performing workplaces where people and organizations thrive.

Speaker Bio:

Barry J. Vose is a leadership and organizational development consultant who helps organizations strengthen management capability, navigate change, improve workplace effectiveness, and develop leaders at every level. He currently serves as a Senior Leadership Consultant with Gotcha Covered HR and owns BJV Strategic Partnerships.

Barry’s professional experience includes leadership development, strategic human resources, organizational development, performance management, conflict resolution, Emotional Intelligence, and the practical application of artificial intelligence in the workplace. He has designed and facilitated more than 1,000 workshops for leaders and employees across nonprofit, healthcare, financial services, insurance, professional services, and other industries.

Earlier in his career, Barry held senior leadership responsibilities with Citigroup, then a Fortune 100 company. He helped develop two new distribution channels, led a team of over 100 employees, and contributed to growing the operation from startup to approximately $1.7 billion in business within three years.

Barry holds the SHRM-SCP credential and has served on several nonprofit, professional association, community, and corporate boards. For the past two years, he has also assisted with planning and developing the NOLA SHRM Annual Conference
